I don't want my profile to be public, how do I change that? 8. How does the referral program work? 9. How do I unlink my Facebook or Twitter account from Romanticity? 10. How do I close my account? Our matching system compares your answered questions with another user to come up with a match percentage. The second portion of the system compares your likes and dislikes with that same user to add a variable percentage to come up with a final match percentage. We have conveniently color coded likes and dislikes on the profile pages to give you a visual representation of what you have in common and what you don't. Green highlights indicate where you match, red highlights indicate you or the other user doesn't like what you like or vice versa, gray highlight means no match or mismatch. Niches are a group within Romanticity that represents a certain interest. For example, if you're interested in Interracial dating, you may join that niche to meet other people who are also interested in interracial dating. We recognize that people may not be interested in a single interest group, so we have given you the ability to join one to five niches. No one outside of your niche will be able to find your profile in search results, nor can anyone see which niches you are a part of if you both don't share the same one (users in the interracial dating niche cannot see you are in the Geek niche if they're not also in the Geek niche). We do our best to approve your request within 24 hours, and you will be notified by e-mail upon approval. Additionally, you will be automatically added to the niche you have created. When you use the Ask Your Friends feature, you post a link to the profile you are viewing to your Facebook and/or Twitter page to get the opinion of your friends or followers. Your friends can assist you in making a decision on whom to contact or eventually meet. All you need to do is view your own profile and connect your social network of choice. Once you've done that, it's as simple as viewing the profile of a user that interests you and clicking "Ask Your Friends!" You can choose to post the link to Facebook, Twitter, or both. Only profiles that are public can be viewed by people who are not logged into Romanticity. For privacy purposes, we have removed usernames or people tagged on Twitter and Facebook statuses. If you tag a person using the @ symbol, the username will be changed to "user". This will help protect your Twitter account and the accounts of others. Currently we're working on censoring the tagged users on Facebook. Log into Romanticity and visit your settings page. You can choose to disable the display of Facebook and/or Twitter statuses on your profile. Log into Romanticity and visit your settings page. You can change your profile to be public or private. Private profiles will only be viewable by users logged into Romanticity. We have created a 1:1 referral program for users. For every 3 people you refer to Romanticity, you will receive 1 unlock point that is redeemable for a feature on Romanticity. You can unlock Private Messaging, Instant Messaging, and more – just by spreading the word. It's our way of saying thank you for helping us add members to the community. More members mean more choices for you! The average person on Facebook or Twitter has about 150 friends or followers, so you can easily unlock all the features on Romanticity for free. That's a $14.99 value! Currently, file attachments and webcam features are reserved for premium members only. Unlocked features will last for one month before they expire. You must visit your Facebook or Twitter account settings and remove access. Log into Romanticity and visit your settings page. From there you can close your account for good. We will not save any information once you decide to close your account. |
